How It Works
The affiliate programs work like this; for each item you buy after you click through our affiliate links, we receive a very small percentage of the price of each item you buy (based on the actual sale price of the item, minus shipping etc.). As more people use our links to buy things, the total is accrued and we receive the referral fees each quarter, which help towards paying for the site (server costs, bandwidth, space costs and so on). It's important to note that you pay nothing extra for doing this; you pay the regular item price, we just receive a fee for referring you to them and earning them a sale.
So to break it down:
- You click on any of our various links, either by using the search boxes, the links to the Amazon home pages, the individual item links or the recommended product links to get to Amazon.
- You add items to your cart and purchse them during that same visit. Note that if you leave Amazon before purchasing anything (or 24 hours elapse), you end the "session," so we do not receive referral fees. Hence if you end the session and still wish to purchase something with us as the referrer, you will need to return and click through one of our links again.
- Once the item ships to you, unless you return it, we receive the referral fee.
NOTE: You can purchase any item once you've clicked on one of our links and we will receive referral fees for any item you buy during that session (it does not have to be Farscape-related or directly linked to by us).
