Looking to the new year
by Dani Moure - Thursday, January 1st 2004

Category: Site News

First off, I'd like to wish all our readers a happy New Year! I hope it brings you happiness and good fortune.

Now, onto site related issues. With me going through finals, graduation, a new job, and a lot of life last year, I admit that the site couldn't always be my highest priority. Still, I managed to complete my episode reviews, keep mostly up-to-date with the news, and recode the backend of the site, so it wasn't all bad.

This year, hopefully things will be a bit different. For the moment, things have settled down, so I plan to go back and finish off what I started with the site upgrade. The first priorities are importing the contents of the Farscape World Store, and the older news items. I also really need to ensure the code and database itself are sound, then I can look at more content (of course, news will continue to be updated as always).

I'm definitely planning for a lot of new content this year. Notably I want to flesh out the Databank, and the Character profiles. Updating the Primer and the Image Galleries is also up there on the list, along with more Merchandise Reviews and Articles.

Another high priority for me is the Farscape World Forum. I've let it slide a little over the past few months, but I'm looking to give it a makeover and kickstart more discussions as time goes on.

So we're definitely not going to stay quiet in the coming year. And who knows, maybe we'll have some new sections to add to the site.

Oh, and there's the little matter of the return of a certain show!
