US DVD updates: 4.1 announced, Season Two Box
by Dani Moure - Friday, October 24th 2003

Category: Merchandise

ADV Films today officially announced the release date of Season 4, Collection 1. The two disc set will street on December 2nd with an MSRP of 39.98. The release will contain the first five episodes of season four - "Crichton Kicks", What Was Lost, Part 1: "Sacrifice" and Part 2: "Resurrection", "Lava's a Many Splendored Thing" and "Promises" - presented in anamorphic widescreen with 5.1 sound.

Extras on the set include a printed insert with official episode synopses; a behind-the-scenes interview with Rebecca Riggs ("Commandant Grayza"); "Farscape: The Story So Far" featurette; Inside Farscape: Season 4 Visual Effects; From the Archives: Season 2 Bloopers; Cool Farscape Facts; Aliens Encountered; Sets, Props, & Costumes Gallery.

Also, I'm not sure quite how it slipped through the radar (it's another thing I thought I'd posted, but must've been confused with the UK box), but a while back ADV also announced the release of a Season Two DVD Box Set. This 10 disc set will include all 22 episodes of the second season, and will hit the streets on October 28th (this Tuesday), with a retail price of $149.98. Thanks to Krazy Kat for pointing out the oversight.

We should have coverart for the releases shortly.

Don't forget, you can pre-order the season 2 box, and soon collection 4.1, from the US DVD Section of the Farscape World Store, or use the Season 2 Box direct product link.
