A bit later than planned, I've just drawn the winners of the Farscape World competition. The prizes? First, a copy of the Illustrated Season 4 Companion signed by Paul Simpson. Second, the Official Farscape Calendar 2004.
The question was, of course, in how many episodes in total has Francesca Buller appeared? The answer was actually very simple. You see, the answers to all the competition questions I'd set are on the site. Hence, I was quite disappointed at the number of wrong entries (how someone got 21 as an answer, I can only imagine). A simple search
of the Farscape World Databank
would've revealed the correct answer was, in fact, eight
. Extra kudos to those who names the episodes correctly (and a kick in the gut from those who clearly copied the list from IMDB
Anyhow, the winner of the signed Season 4 Companion is Bronwyn Lewis
from the USA, while Richard Owen
from the UK wins the 2004 Calendar. Congratulations! The both of you should receive an e-mail shortly.
Now, as a quick update on the site status, those of you who are regular readers will be aware that I'm hard at work, recoding the backend of the site, ready to transfer the backend over to a database. Well, it's coming along nicely, and I've got the hardest parts out the way now. Most of the coding should be done by tonight, I hope, with only a few aesthetic bits to do. I'm hoping to have coding complete by mid-week, with a view to then importing everything into the new database structure. I'll give everyone fair warning (i.e. a news item) when we're about to convert, and will give a go-live date (likely next weekend). It's worth noting now that the structure of the site will completely change. As such, no URLs (except the forum, databank and image gallery sections) will remain. Even the main page will change. I'll add URL redirects to some pages, but bookmarks will need to be updated.
