UPDATED - News roundup: Ricky Manning interview, Australian DVD review
by Dani Moure - Monday, April 7th 2003

Category: Old News

The BBC Cult Website have just posted another interview with executive producer/writer Ricky Manning. He talks fairly extensively on a variety of subjects, including his best episodes, episode titles, writing various episodes and much more. Check it out at the BBC Farscape website.

You can also find an early review of the Australian release of Farscape season 2 on DVD at AllZone4DVD. The set is due for release May 7th from Universal. Of note, it would appear that many of the transfer problems present in the first season release are gone for this set. Also, the review talks about the four commentaries on the set (exclusive for this release) - "Mind the Baby" by Lani Tupu, David Kemper and Andrew Prowse, "The Way We Weren't" by Guy Gross, and "Won't Get Fooled Again" and "Die Me, Dichotomy" by David Kemper and Rowan Woods. It's worth noting that the listing for "Won't Get Fooled Again" could be in error - there is an existing commentary with writer Ricky Manning and director Rowan Woods (available on the US release), and we believe it may be this same commentary that appears on the Australian release. Thanks to Stranger_Still for the link.

UPDATE: Thanks to AllZone4DVD reviewer KevinS for letting us know that it is definitely David Kemper and Rowan Woods who appear on the commentary for "Won't Get Fooled Again." Apologies for any confusion this may have caused.
