ADV announce a new wave of Farscape DVDs packed with extras

ADV Films have announced the first release in a new wave of Farscape DVDs called "Starburst Editions". These new re-releases of the TV series' episodes feature more extras than ever before, including many specially produced for the new releases.

Farscape: Starburst Edition Volume 1 is a DVD only release streeting on November 16 for a mere $24.98, featuring the first seven episodes of the series on two double-sided DVDs. The DVDs include 5.1 and 2.0 audio, with a plethora of extras, including: Making of a Space Opera documentary, In the Beginning: A Look Back with Brian Henson recorded exclusively for this release, From the Archives: Early Makeup Tests, Video Profiles: Ben Browder (John Crichton) and Claudia Black (Aeryn Sun), 6 audio commentaries with the cast and crew, new Cool Farscape Facts (including behind the scenes information about every episode featuring new insights from series creator Rockne S. O'Bannon) by Paul Simpson (Farscape: The Illustrated Companion), Alien Encounters, greatly expanded production design and character art galleries: Conceptual Art, Crichton & Aeryn and Farscape trailers.
