...............but wait, there's More................................

HEATSTROKE

who are not only accelerating global warming,
they're killing swimsuit models!!!)

Or, catch 'em as a double feature when they both rerun on the Sci Fi Channel
on
Thursday, June 5, 2008: Heatstroke at 7 pm, followed by Aztec Rex at 9 pm.*

*All times are Eastern/Pacific. Subtract an hour for Central, and
double-check
your local listings in case your cable company is picking up the wrong Sci
Fi
Channel feed or something.

(And if you don't live in the USA or you can't watch the Sci Fi Channel, the
DVDs should be out in the fall...)

Enjoy --

I knew about Aztec Rex because Will Snow (played Lord John Roxton in "Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World" syndicated telly series) and sorta planned to watch it just to see if SciLie has gotten any better at making movies.

Hadn't heard about HeatStroke...but it's got Wayne AND Francesca...so I'll definitely tune in.

David who?
Froon what?

 I was kidding. Geez. ;)

I tried to watch it but, imho, it wasn't any better than most of the other made by/for SciFi movies. The wigs were horrible and should have had billing as characters. I swear the one on Ian Z. was going to crawl off his head at any time. As much as I adore Ricky, the writing bored me. Sorry Ricky...everyone has an off day. I finally had to give up.

Heatstroke wasnt quite as dire as Aztex Rex.. largely bcs of the Farscape injokes.

Spoilers spoilers spoilers

no, not kidding

tons of them

Froon got his dream of working with models on the beach, by having the male lead (DBSweeny of Strange Luck) crash into a photo shoot of, yes, models on the beach. The models, out of work, hang out with the heroes after that.

And what is the name of the male lead?
Captain O'bannon.

yes.

Wayne appears as a fun hi-tech weapons nut in a bar...when a brawl ensues, he drops flash/bang into the mix. Cheerful, except when he's griping about not having nukes in his back pocket, he is a fun to watch.

Not quite as bloody as the heart pulling head munching, I wanna star with Terrintino Aztex Rex, our lizard friends merely slash and kill just about anybody who crosses their path, including a determined to be killed alien-ol-o-gist, who got her philosphy from Pierce Brosden's character in Mars Attacks. Her eulogy is justly short.

"Guess they didn't come in peace."

The teasing continues as the alien project is code-named Gate-Crash, with the alien lizards having a smaller version popping down the throat, making the host's eyes glow red, and putting on a familiar voice. You know who they are.

As one of the side effects of being sensitive to the aliens presence, as many humans are, is insomnia, and they've been on the earth 32yrs, we have a very tired group at the end of the movie, with an exhausted cast who looking forward to sleeping for a week.

All in all.. better than Aztex Rex.

Sadly, not a fix while we wait for the webisodes.

(yes this is a hint. Froon, see if you can write something for us...maybe you can do one issue of the comics? That would be fun...)

That is hilarious. *chortle*

I haven't seen this yet because I am in Canada and we are (thankfully) mostly spared Skiffy's 'B' movies. However I will say that when it does come to The Space Channel, I will be watching with bells on.
