Saddest/ Emotional Farscape moment?

one of the saddest moments i thought was, i think at the end of season3, Aeryn gets really upset and pushes John and says "Garantee you wont die in my arms again" and John"Garantee you wont die in mine!" Aeryn replies "iam! by leaving"
i dont really know why but it really got me. I never get emotional at TV shows but farscape is the only one that gets me.

I cry every time I see this scene...even tho' we have been told some of the production background...it 'sucks me in' and I get tearful.

It has a lot to do with Guy Gross's score too...jeez it's SOOOO powerful.

If an episodic telly programme can do that to me...then my god it has to be unbelievably good!

Guess I'm catching up with the boards. My condolences, too. My mother also died from cancer.

For me, Locket comes to mind first.

Biggest impact was 'The Choice.' As I posted ages back, on another thread, it didn't make me cry, it made me stand flat out still and not move for an hour. And I let my granddaughter watch this, even after I realized it was too intense for a 9 year old. I'd NEVER had done that, if it were any other Farscape episode. I'd wait for the rerun after she went to sleep.

For me it'salso the coin toss scene. I love that scene yet it's so emotional but also it shows signs that aeryn is not ending the relationship completely. Another for me is the ending of natural election because of what John says to aeryn about trusting her with his life but not his heart, however can't help but believe upon repeated viewings that he's already trying to throw scorpius offtrack because heck John knows the only reason scorpius is on board moya is to figure out his true weakness and use it against him. that and he's hurt about her not confiding in him about being pregnant and it might not be his, however I believe it's basically the scorpius thing. lastly is ending of bad timing because at that moment they are completely back together and resolved issues then they get turned into millions of tiny particles. on a side note I'm so happy that the mini-series happened and they got a happy ending.

I also found myself shedding a tear or two at the end of "The Way We Weren't" when Pilot admits that it was his decision to go with Volerek to the stars that killed Miss Pilot--that was also a sad moment when she was shot to pieces.

A few other emotional moments for me were:

"A Human Reaction" - when John leaves and says good-bye to Zhaan, D'Argo, and Aeryn

"Family Ties" - when John is conducting his last message to his tape recorder, when John tells Moya to save herself, and the very last scene with John and D'Argo floating in space.

That it for me at the moment. I've only watched Season 1 and some of Season 2, having started watching FarScape last October.

One of the saddest moments I remember was in The Choice when Aeryn sees John on the window ledge and the scene cuts between him kissing her in A Human Reaction, and her kissing him on the ledge, then an instant later he's and reaching her hand out to nothing.

That whole episode is deeply heartrending, but that scene is one that really conveyes the her sense of loss for me.

I'm a newbie. I really appreciate this thread, this forum, and this page. None of my friends watch Farscape and I've tried to explain its appeal to no avail. On my second run through the show, my wife watched and enjoyed it, but not the way I (and you appear to) do; thus, this has become my little support group.

I loved reading this thread in particular. I've long had a problem with depression and Farscape has been a wonderful escape, yet it threatened to send me spiralling down especially as the show neared its end. Part of the problem for me was that not only was this a very emotional show, but no one I know shared the experience. Reading all of these reactions, so similar to my own, has been enormously helpful. If I am nuts, at least I'm not alone.

Despite our shared experience, no one mentioned the specific scene that had the biggest impact on me. Though a few mentioned "The Choice," no one seems to have been as effected by Aeryn's closing comment to her memory of John: "You have to go know." So many of the scenes you've mentioned were powerful (John saying goodbye to Aeryn at the end of season 2; Aeryn saying goodbye to Talyn John; John turning and walking away from Aeryn at the end of S3), but I've never seen a scene on tv like Aeryn moving on from her loss at the end of "The Choice."

Another scene that I mention b/c no one else did was the last scene of "John Quixote." Aeryn (sitting in the passageway as she was wont to do in S4, which I thought was a nice touch--she doesn't want to be alone so she sits in a common area) quips a little flirtatiously, "I hear I was a princess." John pauses and then leaves without saying a word. Then Aeryn is left alone to think about it.

Deaths, or at least the big ones. Aeryn in Die Me Dichomey, Talyn John, Tayln, Zaahn all get the tears going. The fight between John and Aeryn in the hanger when she leaves in Dog With 2 Bones. The Locket. Look At The Princess. Chilinas (from PK tech girl) death. These are so hard to answer cause theres so many.

Heaven has Farscape Seasons 1-20 and they're each better then the last!

I'm a dude so I'm not real prone to emotional outbursts or teary-eyed displays. I have never cried for/because of a TV show. That being said ... Farscape makes me out to be a liar.

After sitting through 4 seasons of the show its easy to get attached to these great characters. Whatever they feel, you begin to share with them.

I found a lot of times were very emotional.

-Jothee/Chiana messing up D'Argo's head
-Bialar/Talyn Starburst
-and more

But the 2 MOST memorable:

I will N E V E R forget the echo left in my mind when D'Argo began crying out after John and Aeryn got crystalized. WoW.

But mostly, I cant recount how bad I wanted John and Aeryn to finally admit thier feelings for each other. Every oppurtunity that was presented was ripped away from them. Beginning of season 3 was a huge sigh of relief for me.

For me, it's got to be either Season 2 The Way We Weren't when Aeryn and Pilot were talking at the end and then Pilot says it was his fault Moya's first pilot was killed, Season 2 I Do, I Think when Pilot and Moya were executed by the builders... that really made me cry!

Another sad moment for me was Season 3 Wolf In Sheep's Clothing when Crais and Talyn sacrificed themselves. That also made me cry a hell of a lot!

Yes, I'm a horrible person, but I'm only on Season Two, but I'm watching every episode since I don't have cable, and never have, and didn't start watching until re-runs. I've already said all this before. So, right now, my depressing one is the Season Finale of Season Two, where we all think Aeryn is dead, but I know she's not cause I've seen episodes after that one, but I'm depressed, cause I don't know how they get out of that situation, and it makes me want to cry more than I already want to cry, which is a lot. Yeah, that funeral. I've seen it like four times, and I still cry every single time, cause I don't know what happens on the premier of Season Three, and it's driving me crazy! Stupid hw, who needs it.... I do, that's what.
