Can't----we still don't know!

John: Who else am I gonna tell this crap to?

Unanswered ... and I for one love it!

Aeryn certainly doesn't appear pregnant. Given that we don't know what Sebacean gestation periods are, that could still mean anything; currently pregnant, never pregnant, had baby already.

John didn't say anything, I'm guessing to wait and see if Aeryn would. At the very end of the ep though, he finally asked if she'd tell him if she were pregnant. She didn't answer. The ep ended there.

I. Love. This. Show.

Spoilers Ahead... And a couple of wild theories

And don't forget two other variables if she still is pregnant. first - I can't believe heat delerium is good for the baby and second, she has been is Scorpius' control for an unreported amount of time.

The first would facilitate a miscarraige (probably told in flashback) in the storyline, but I believe that is just too easy a way out, while the second has some very dark possibilities. I have a couple of favorite theories.

First, when we saw the 405 spoiler pics my initial thought was that Scopius got the fetus and put it through a growth acceleration device to build the newest Peace Keeper Barbie. "Go ahead and shoot John - assuming you don't mind killing your own daughter." Quick cut to shocked/confused/devistated Crichton in a Saturn Award nomination moment. Of course the biggest problem with that theory is that Scorpius didn't have much access to advanced technology at that point - although his did build a cool Harvey killer.

Second - and this was earlier suggest by someone as a joke - isn't it interesting that Granny shows up out of nowhere and has some type of keen interest in John and his well being. No - she didn't get Mom or Dad's good looks (but then look at Scorpy and Jothee as examples of what happens when Sebacean women breed with alien men), but if she turns out to be from 300 cycles in the future...

Of course Granny is the one that told John in the first place and we still don't know her agenda yet.

Whatever happens, we can't have a baby or even a kid aboard Moya for more than a quick story arc without a serious and irreversible jumping of the shark. John as loving father and Aeryn as cold and distant mother renders them sexless and turns the whole show into an After School Special with the occasional space monster.

I was most interested in Aeryn's reaction when John asked the question. Not a shocked "Oh no! How did you find out?", a confused "What the frell are you talking about?" or a devistated "The pain of that memory is flooding back!". Rather, she gives him a blank "no clues here" look even though he is obviously hurt and angry - then quietly stares out at the stars. Pretty cold blooded after manipulating him with the "if you love me" line earlier in the program.

With help from one very helpful source, i was able to finally see the ep and was quite dumb founded when it finished. Of course i dunno more than i can research on but one thing does come into mind towards the end of the tag. Aeryn seemed to be "reflecting" when John asked her about the child. Therefore the conclusion might be that she already had the child and mayb (just mayb) she became an assassin to repay whoever has "adopted" the child? mayb. just wondering. Besides, Aeryn has gone colder than when she left him, she was in tears when she left and now she's just... like her mother.

Also the thing about Granny being from the future... that's a bit of a question of it's own for me to stress over. But guess the best thing to do is to sit and watch, then complain and get stressed over it. (lol) ;)

You think so, eh? If you get to see it again, listen to her when she's on the alien ship. Just as he's about to shoot her in the back, she's saying, "Besides, I wasn't hired to..." Tells me that she was compelled to act against the Hocathian (sp) threat... maybe he was a threat to people she felt for, or a place where she might be keeping someone important to her.

Just more food for thought... as if we needed more. ;)

Not knowing Sebacean gestation times and not knowing either how much time has passed since Aeryn and John were together on Talyn--makes the estimated date of confinement a real puzzler. I would definitely say though that she is not as pregnant as you would expect her to be and I think the child, if any, has already been born or lost.

Did you see the *fetus in the clouds at the end* that some folks claim to see? That would be eerie.

As for the old woman, this is another plot device I could cheerfully do without. I hope she goes away soon whatever her agenda is supposed to be, but then i hated Harvey and those flashbacks or philosophical insights or whatever the frell they were. Not my style, pragmatism is superior.
