I agree with you. Earth, being protectrec by peacekeepers, is putting it into an open war iwth the Scarrans, which obviously eart is not prepared.

That's something between John, Peacekkers and the Scarrans.

I do continue thinking that Scorpius is not a hero. Absolutely NOT.

Every man is his own kind of hero.

To Scorpy - he is a hero.

To lots and lots of Sebeceans and PKs he is a hero.

And John most emphatically is not.

That is one of the things that Farscape is trying to show the audience. That it is about perspective. Don't always judge things by the standards of your own culture. From different perspectives - there are different truths.

I was going to say that Scorpius doesn't quite fit the hero archetype, but lots of people (where I'm from, anyway) consider that guy from "24" to be pretty heroic. He tortures people. He does it for the home team. People cheer (not me, torture is bad on many levels).

Q. Why don't Farscape viewers cheer for Scorpius?

A. There aren't many Sebaceans in the audience (that doesn't mean he doesn't fit the hero-mold in certain respects).
