That is true she probably spent alot of time around the air conditioners. She also did alot of shopping, and malls are quite reasonable for temperature.
It was just a thought considering how hot it can get.

Well, as it was said before, she could bear the temperature in Sidney, in a Human Reaction, in Kansas and in Terra Firma, the three times she has been on earth (well, the first one was a fake earth).
She had Problems in Thanks God is Friday Again, there the temperature was very high, even at night.
But the other problem is the paraphoral nerve. We have almost solved the heat problem but not the parapjotal problem. Of she ever had surgery or someting like that, a health problem on Earth and the paraphoral nerve is affected, how can she get the tissue graft? From Little D?, because he will be the only half sebacean compatible donor on earth, althouygh I do not know that the fact of being half human, makes him be compatible or not.
Thats's the worst part in my opinion. Or they find a donor or Aeryn sill die in 50 or 60 arns.

Sebacean technology nowadays can grow a new one with a graft, so, should she ever be stabbed thru it again (pretty darn low odds if she lives on Earth) she just needs to drop in on any place with modern sebacian medicine -hop skip and jump thru the wormhole. However, being stabbed in the chest is not her normal mo, and certainly not normal for life on Earth. I doubt it is a factor in any decision, any more than John would consider living close to where he can get a heart transplant, should he ever need one someday.

Well, I poimted that because it's more difficult to hel a damaged paraphotal nerve than heat delirium. On earth and wherever. Because in the Uncharytred territories or anywhere on space, they are not always near a sebacean colony and Gillina is dead to help them.
We all know, according to FS, that heat delirium it's much easier to heal. It only need cold water or being in a cold room, unless she is infected by someone like Ullom that needs an antidote to heal her. I hope they don't find more Ullom's wherever they go.
But, does anyone remember another health problem with sebaceans? or there were only these two ones? because I don0t remember well.

Most places here in the US that are inhabited and get really hot(like Lake Havasu and other parts of Arizona) where as I said the temp was 124F, almost everything except the outdoors is air conditioned--houses, cars, stores, etc.All you do is go from one to another. However folks do get acclimated and are out there playing golf etc.One brother-in-law did landscaping for the hotel and golf club and the other worked in the chain saw factory--which wasn't airconditioned either.I don't know how long it takes to get acclimated---some of our troops in Iraq could probably tell you.
I was in Egypt by the pyramids and temples in April.I don't know what the temp was officially,(90s probably) but this north country cold weather person was VERY hot when I got off the airconditioned bus. As much as possible get in the shade and drink water., and obviously I survived with no ill effects at all.
Our temp control, if I remember correctly, is in the hypothalamus.Yes, you would think that with all the other genetic engineering stuff that was going on, the Sebaceans would have come up with something.Obviously the command carriers were temp controlled but planetside--or in the case of Moya's internal heat--they have a huge problem.I've never really understood(and I don't suppose we were to worry about it) that Scorpios could have the rod apparatus going into his brain, coming out covered with gore, and going back in. One would have thought he needed whatever was moved/removed to make the hole in the first place and repeated opening ought to have been a massive portal for infection . When you open a human skull. accidentally or on purpose, infection is a matter of great concern--even with antibiotics.
O well
As for other problems I can't think of one--and on the other beneficial side Aeryn's broken leg in the Trilogy healed way faster than human's would. And the short term pregnancy and fast delivery would be considered a benefit by most any woman.

You are right. I forgot those desert areas whre the temperatures a extemely high. Aeryn would have problems in these places.
Well, sometimes I wish we humas could heal a broken leg as quick as seba eans are. That's a good benefit for them.

She would fare on Earth, as long as she stays in places where it's not too hot.
However how would little D do being half sebaccean half human. The doctors on Earth wouldn't know because just like in the UT they have no knowledge of medical records or anything.
Would he have the paraphotal nerve too?
I'm sure John would watch the heat situation where ever they go.

ABSOLUTELY. John will take well care of the place where they are going to live, specially for that heat delirium thing.
About if Little D would have the paraphoral nerve, well, As a sebacean he probably has it but as a human could regerate itselff or only by surgery instead of by a tissue graft.
The child should have the advantages of bopth species.

Yeah he should. I was just wondering about it and not completely sure.
John will make sure that no more draks would come aboard either.

Little D may or may not inherit any of the plus or minuses of his Sebacean Mom or his human Dad. It will depend on whether the gene(s) governing any trait are expressed or not and also on whether they are dominant or recessive.
We have no idea but the odds are probably 1 in 2 if it is dominant and 1 in 4 if is recessive---and he might just be a carrier to the next generation.
It would be interesting to see how his life played out as he grew older-, but.............doesn't seem likely. With the way Creation is auctioning off ev ery conceivable garment or prop I don't see a movie in the future.

lol - I dont think auctioning off old props are going to stand in the way of the movie. I mean, are thecharacters going to be wearng teh same outfits after all this time? (I dont pic Little D as an infant in the movie)
I'm guessing he'll inherit all the genes that make interesting drama.. but I'm willingto wait and see..

Maybe the selling off of the old props and costumes is to raise money for the movie?
No, please, let's go back to discussing the TOPIC at hand.

It will definately be interesting to see as he gets older.
I think he will pick up on the shooting aspect. So he will be effective with a pulse pistol.
He will probably be able to handle some intense heat from dad, but not alot because of mom.

Do you really want a young child effective with a pulse pistol??????
Since he won't go to school in any organized way---surely John and Aeryn can home school him(or Moya school him

he won't have much interaction with other children. Unless they find a friendly planet to stay on---wich seems unlikely unless they could go back to the Princess trilogy system.
Chiaana and Rygel were suppsedly heading to Rygel's Hynerian home, but some of the planets under his rule--for example the Jeremiah one--were inhabited by humans or human looking people.I think he needs company to develop well.

My impression from the mini was that although Rygel was going home, and Chiana planned to go with him, John and Aeryn planned to stay right on Moya and raise their kid out in space.
Tho as soon as that wormhole issue is resolved, I expect to see them making quite a few trips to visit Grandpa and Aunties place <g>
And - while I wouldnt want a young'n with a pulse pistol, and John wouldnt, Aeryn was raised to be a soldier since birth and she will probably have quite a different view on the matter. Who knows how that will end up .. tho on the other hand, we can be sure she'll have the tyke started in combat training with physical moves before he's out of diapers, and John would probably find that a fun activity to join in. As long as it doesnt interfere with football training ....<g>
